NOTE:
7th Semester B.E/B. Tech students shall have to undergo Internship for a period of four Weeks.
1st Semester B.E/B.Tech/B. Arch Students shall compulsorily undergo Induction Program for a period of 3 Weeks as per the schedule is given by VTU.
The faculty/staff shall be available to undertake any work assigned by the university.
If any of the above dates are declared to be a holiday then the corresponding event wilt come into effect on the next working day.
Notification regarding Calendar of Events relating to the conduct of University Examination will be issued by the Registrar (Evaluation) from time to time.
The VTU University has a received number of requests from the students admitted during the academic years 2010-ll(regular), 2011-12 and 2012-13 (lateral entry), with a prayer to relax the maximum duration for completion of their course and also to permit them to appear for the University examinations. These requests are made by those students who could not complete their Degree within the maximum duration stipulated by the University under OB 6.2.
Hence, the matter was placed before the authorities of the VTU University. The authorities of the University considered these requests and resolved to provide two additional years in addition to the existing maximum duration specified in the regulations Governing B.E./B.Tech. as detailed below:

1.1 Payment Of Examination Fees:
The students admitted under this benefit shall pay an examination fee of Rs. 2,000/- per paper subject to a maximum of Rs. 6,000/ per semester.

The relaxation in maximum duration is also applicable to autonomous colleges under VTU
2. CONDUCT OF PARALLEL CLASSES:
2.1 Eligibility for admission to 5th Sem.:
The scheme of study at:
1st / 2nd Semester Level: 2010 scheme or 2014 scheme
3rd / 4th-semester level: 2010 scheme only
The student should have completed the 1st year (1st and 2nd semester) without any backlog.
The student should not have more than 4 backlog subjects in 2nd year (3rd and 4th Semester).
2.2 Eligibility for admission to 7th Sem.:

3. CONDITIONS TO BE SATISFIED IN RESPECT OF RELAXATION IN MAXIMUM DURATION AND AVAILING THE BENEFIT OF PARALLEL CLASSES
3.1 Responsibilities of students:
Verify your eligibility before getting admission to the respective semester for parallel classes.
Satisfy the attendance and IA requirements as per the University norms.
3.2 Responsibilities of Principals:
It is compulsory that, every college (including Autonomous Colleges in respect students admitted in only VTU scheme), has to arrange for conducting parallel classes for:
5th and 6th semesters 2010 scheme during the academic year 2018-2019
7th and 8th semesters 2010 scheme during the academic years 2018-2019 and also 2019 -2020.
Verify the eligibility of the students before admitting them to respective semester.
Ascertain that NO STUDENT CAN GET ADMITTED TO ANY SEMESTER WITHOUT ELIGIBILITY.
Maintain the records in respect of Attendance and IA as per the University norms.
The Principals of constituent and affiliated engineering colleges are informed to bring this to the notice of all the concerned and advice the students accordingly.

The Principals of all colleges viz: Affiliated, Autonomous, Constituent coming under the ambit of Visvesvaraya Technological University, Belagavi may carry out the process of Change of Branch at the respective colleges

Any student seeking change of college for 3rd semester shall continue in the 2017-18 scheme only as per Executive Council Resolution number 8.4 of 140th meeting held on 13/7/2018
Backlog papers if any from I and II semester of previous scheme attended by the student, shall be cleared in that scheme only, in the admitting college.
The Principals of both admitting college and relieving college shall verify and confirm the eligibility of student w.r.t. vertical progression and then only issue the NOCs

The students admitted in Second Shift and SNQ quota are not eligible for Change of College (Govt. Order ED 160 TEC 2016, date: 24/06/2017).

The process must be completed from 11/08/2018 to 25/08/2018 NOTE: The Process of Change of Branch at college shall be completed as per norms. If the vacancy exists at 3rd-semester level after Change of Branch, then the college may issue NOC for Change of College.
The NOC issued after the last date notified will not be considered by the University.

Further, the Principals of Engineering Colleges Constituent/ Affiliated to /Autonomous under VTU are hereby requested not to allow any students from other Colleges / Universities to seek admission or to attend classes without prior approval of VTU. Belagavi.
PROCEDURE FOR CHANGE OF COLLEGE FOR UG COURSES
Requests for Change of College will be entrained only at 3rd, 5th and 7th semester (and also 9th semester in case of B. Arch)
Change of Branch only at III semester
Second shift and SNQ students are not eligible for Change of College/ Change of branch.
Requests for change of scheme i.e. VTU to Autonomous or vice versa is considered at 3rd or 5th semester only (i.e. either after completion of II or IV semester).
Student joining Autonomous Scheme from VTU scheme in the same college shall submit a declaration letter expressing his/her willingness to join the autonomous system and college should take prior approval from VTU for admitting students to Autonomous Scheme required to pay the fee of Rs. 1,500/-.

Requirement
Student shall be eligible to 3rd, 5th and 7th semester (and 9th sem in B. Arch) as applicable.
Students applying for change of college with change of branch at 3rd semester, should have passed in all subjects of I and II semesters.

Equivalence w.r.t. syllabus to be established by the Academic Council of the admitting college as per the rules of the admitting college

VTU Revaluation Procedure For Filing Applications:
The instructions for the submission of application are made available on the website. Kindly follow the same.
Mention candidate’s Mobile Number and Email id, as both will be used for further communication with regard to delivery of photocopy from the University. (Please ensure the correctness of the mobile number and email id)
Fee for Revaluation is Rs. 400 /- per subject and for Photocopy is Rs.300 /- per subject and Application Fee is Rs.20 /- per candidate.
All the students are eligible to apply for Revaluation in any number of theory subjects.
All the students are eligible to apply for Photocopy of answer scripts in any number of theory subjects (excluding the scripts attached with drawing sheets).
The fee collected by the students towards revaluation and photocopy of answer scripts shall be submitted to the Finance Officer, VTU Belagavi through online fee payment mode.

Application For VTU Revaluation And Photocopy Of Answer Scripts
Local Inquiry Committee (LIC) committee has identified 44 VTU colleges that do not have proper infrastructure, laboratory facility, and teaching faculty not well-qualified to conduct classes. These type of colleges are listed under C and D categories.
Prof Jagannath Reddy, registrar of the university said, “If they fail to improve by next year, the university will be forced to initiate further action against these colleges.”
Here is the list of colleges that are under C and D category. These colleges might get a penalty if they don’t improve by the next year.
Re-allotment of students studying in the colleges requested for Complete Closure for the academic year 2018-19
With reference to the above, the following colleges have requested for Complete Closure of the college from the academic year 2018-19 and the same is approved by the Executive Council of VTU.
Hence, as per the direction of the Executive Council of VTU, the students studying in the aforesaid colleges are being transferred to other affiliated colleges of this University. The detailed schedule is as detailed below:

It is brought to the notice of the students and parents that,
The students both eligible / not eligible to higher semester shall appear for the re-allotment. No student is entertained after this procedure to change of college.
The students will be re-allocated in the respective region colleges only.
No student will be re-allocated to Autonomous Colleges.
The fee category will be the same for the students under which they have been admitted during the 1st semester (regular)/ 3rd semester (lateral entry) students.
The other fee of the college shall be paid by the student at par with the regular students of the college
The student shall be permitted to appear for the backlog papers in the allotted college if any.
The students shall produce the Identity card or Exam Hall Ticket, CET/Comed-K allotment letter, Receipt of the fee paid (Proof of tuition & other fee paid).
The student shall not claim any kind of relief based on this allotment, and
The student shall abide by all the existing Rules/ Regulations of the University, and the Regulations that may be revised from time to time.
